Raw footage is usually not included, as wedding films are crafted narratives. However, it may be available as an add-on depending on the package and unique rational for the request. Any inclusion of raw footage may include usage and citing stipulations dictated by Ember & Alchemy Wedding films to ensure artisitc integrity and personal brand image. Any such stipulations will be discussed with the couple in advanced. 

We used to be! We rebranded in 2026. After 12 years formerly as Eastowest Wedding Films, it felt like the right time to evolve the name alongside the work itself. Eastowest was the original name Danie choose back in 2014 when they started their business and it carried them through the earliest chapters of their journey as a wedding filmmaker. East was derived from Danie's surname, Easton, and West reflected Danie’s passion for travelling the world.

However, just like we grow and change as people, our work and creative vision have also evolved. Over time, Danie found themself drawn deeper into storytelling that feels more cinematic, more intentional, and more reflective of transformation...not just documentation.

Ember & Alchemy was born from that shift. It represents change, craft, and the beauty of transformation; turning real moments into something lasting and meaningful. The new name reflects not just where the business is going, but who I’ve become as an artist and storyteller.
